Nana Aba Anamoah Tells Osman Bukari

Nana Aba Anamoah, the General Manager of GhOne TV, has given Ghanaian forward Osman Bukari a great reason not to feel bad for the Cristiano Ronaldo trademark celebration he did against the Portuguese side yesterday evening.

Osman Bukari, the striker, scored a header in the 89th minute to help the Black Stars reduce Ghana’s deficit to one when they were losing by three goals to one.

Osman Bukari, however, made headlines when he continued to celebrate his late goal with the well-known Ronaldo’s Siuu celebration, which many perceived as showing a great deal of disrespect to the football icon.

After the game, Osman Bukari apologized to Cristiano Ronaldo on his official Twitter page because many people felt that his celebration was totally disrespectful of him.

However, Nana Aba Anamoah believes that the young player had every right to celebrate because he scored a significant goal on a significant stage.

Nana Aba Anamoah said:
You scored a beautiful goal on a big stage against a big team. You had every right to celebrate. Shine on

Ghana Black Stars coach Otto Addo knows nothing about tactical changes – Nana Aba Anamoah

Broadcast journalist Nana Aba Anamoah has questioned the technical know-how of the Black Stars coach Otto Addo.

She criticized Otto Addo for substitutions he made during the Black Stars’ first match against Portugal.

“Otto Addo knows nothing about tactical changes, you took Kudus off at a critical time. Shocking, Shameful, Sad, Kai,” her tweet read.

The Black Stars lost 3-2 against Portugal in their first match at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Otto Addo made a double substitution on the 78 minutes after Andre Ayew scored to cancel out a Cristiano Ronaldo strike.

Ayew and the assist provider Kudus both were taken off for Bukari and Jordan Ayew respectively.

Ghana came into the match with high hopes of beating the Portuguese but fell short as their opponents dominated play from the blast of the whistle.

The first half ended barren as Ghana soaked all the pressure Portugal brought into the match.

Portugal kept the pressure on Ghana after recess and finally got a penalty after Salisu had a slight contact with Cristiano Ronaldo in the box.

Shortly after restoring parity, Joao Felix put the Portugues in front again.

Two minutes later, Rafael Leao scored the third goal for Portugal to dash Ghana’s hopes of coming back into the game.

However, in the 89th minute, Osman Bukari scored a header when the whole Portugal defense went to bed.

What a goal, what an outrageous bicycle kick from Richarlison?, Richarlison’s stunning double sinks Serbia to get Brazil up and running.

Brazil have justified the favourites tag with a 2-0 win over Serbia in their World Cup opener, where Richarlison stole the spotlight with a stunning contender for goal of the tournament.

The English Premier League star tapped in his country’s first goal on Thursday night before an astonishing piece of skill finished off an outstanding team goal for his second.

In a play that began in Brazil’s own half Vinicius Junior punted an outside-of-the-boot cross into Richarlison, whose first touch lofted the ball above his head.

In one motion Richarlison turned, wound up his right leg and left the ground off his left to score past helpless Serbian goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic.

“Oh my, what a goal that is from Richarlison,” England legend Alan Shearer wrote from inside Lusail Iconic Stadium.

The goalscorer said the strike validated his fight to overcome injury and make the plane to Qatar.

“It is mad, you dream of this. It was a good game,” Richarlison said.

Brazil coach Tite started with Richarlison, Neymar, Vinicius Junior and Raphinha up front, with attacking midfielder Lucas Paqueta playing alongside the defensively minded Casemiro.

But Serbia had several players back and were able to keep their South American opponents from creating many significant opportunities.

Vinicius Jr claimed the assist for the first goal after his shot from an angle was blocked by Milinkovic-Savic into the path of Richarlison.

Neymar was involved throughout without finding acres of space as he hunts the two goals required to match Pele’s record of 77 goals for Brazil.

He had his greatest opportunities with a free kick in the 50th minute and a shot from near the penalty spot in the 55th.

Neymar ended the match with an ankle injury, briefly in tears on the bench before doctors applied ice to the problematic area.

Brazil’s best chance before Richarlison’s opening goal had been a low long-range shot by Alex Sandro that hit the post in the 60th minute.

“In the second half they were a bit more tired, which we expected,” Casemiro said.

“Richarlison is a super player, we knew that in the box he is a super striker.”

The Selecao will next face Switzerland, who defeated Cameroon 1-0 earlier on Thursday.

Brazil have not won a World Cup since 2002 but the win over Serbia extended their current unbeaten streak to 20 matches featuring 17 wins.

At FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, the Black Stars of Ghana fought hard to settle for a 3-2 defeat against Portugal in their first match at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Ghana came into the match with high hopes of beating the Portuguese but fell short as their opponents dominated play from the blast of the whistle.

The first half ended barren as Ghana soaked all the pressure Portugal brought into the match.

Portugal kept the pressure on Ghana after recess and finally got a cheap penalty after Slaisu had a slight contact with Cristiano Ronaldo in the box.

Despite efforts to get USA referee Ismail Elfath to have a look on the VAR box, the American refused and stood by his decision.

Ronaldo stepped up and scored the penalty with Ati-Zigi missing the ball by inches.

Ghana later switched the game as they went in search of a goal in the 73rd minute and captain Andre Ayew got the equalizer from a pass from Mohammed Kudus.

Shortly after restoring parity, Joao Felix got the equalizer after a defence-splitting pass found him and slotted it home.

Two minutes later, Rafael Leao scored the third goal for Portugal to dash Ghana’s hopes of coming back into the game.

However, in the 89th minute, Osman Bukari scored a header when the whole Portugal defense went to bed.

With few minutes left in additional time, Inaki Williams nearly got the needed equalizer for Ghana as he came from behind to kick the ball from Costa but the striker lost his footing before he could land a proper shot.

The defeat leaves Ghana in 4th place as Portugal top with South Korea and Uruguay in 3rd and 4th place respectively.

Ghana will face South Korea in their next match on Monday November 28th, 2022.

Germany’s players covered their mouths during the team photo before their World Cup opener against Japan on Wednesday in an apparent protest over FIFA’s refusal to allow rainbow-themed armbands.

Germany’s players covered their mouths for the team photo before their World Cup opener against Japan on Wednesday in protest at FIFA’s refusal to allow rainbow-themed armbands.

Captains of seven European teams had planned to wear the anti-discrimination armbands during the tournament in Qatar as part of a campaign for diversity, but backed down over the threat of disciplinary action from football’s governing body, including yellow cards.

The rainbow armbands had been viewed as a symbolic protest against laws in Qatar, where homosexuality is illegal.

Germany’s football federation said in a tweet moments after the photo protest that “human rights are not negotiable”.

“This is not a political position; human rights are not negotiable,” the DFB tweeted.

“To ban the armband is like banning our right to speak,” the federation added.

FIFA president Gianni Infantino was at the Khalifa International Stadium for the Germany-Japan match.

FIFA president Gianni Infantino was at the Khalifa International Stadium for the Germany-Japan match.

The German government spokesman, Steffen Hebestreit, said earlier in the day in Berlin that FIFA’s decision to bar captains from wearing the “OneLove” armbands was “very unfortunate”.

“The rights of LGBTQ people are non-negotiable,” Hebestreit said at a regular press conference.

German Interior Minister Nancy Faeser, who was to attend the game in Doha against Japan, said FIFA’s ban was a “huge mistake”.

Not only players, but fans should also be allowed to show pro-LGBTQ symbols “openly”, she told reporters in Qatar.

Security staff at the World Cup have ordered spectators to remove items of clothing featuring rainbow logos.

Supporters should however “make a decision for themselves” about whether they wanted to wear the symbols, Faeser said.

Underlining tensions at the tournament over the issue, Belgium’s Jan Vertonghen said on Tuesday in Qatar that he was “afraid” to talk about human rights.

Vertonghen, speaking on the eve of Belgium’s opening game against Canada later Wednesday, said he did not feel comfortable.

“I’m afraid if I say something about this I might not be able to play tomorrow,” the defender said.

“It’s an experience I’ve never felt in football before. I feel controlled. I’m afraid to even say something about this.

“We’re just saying normal things about racism and discrimination and if you can’t even say things about it, that says it all.

Goals from substitutes Ritsu Doan and Takuma Asano in the last 15 minutes gave Japan a stunning 2-1 upset over four-times champions Germany in their World Cup Group E opener on Wednesday.

The Germans had dominated the contest at the Khalifa International Stadium and taken the lead with a 33rd-minute penalty from Ilkay Gundogan after Japan goalkeeper Shuichi Gonda had fouled wing-back David Raum.

The second goal never came, however, and Japan’s raids into the German half became more and more frequent, culminating in Doan’s equaliser and a brilliant finish from Asano eight minutes later.

The defeat was the third in a row in the opening match of a major championship for Germany after a loss to Mexico at the 2018 World Cup, when they bowed out in the first round as champions, and to France at Euro 2020.

Saudi Arabia Stuns Lionel Messi and Argentina in World Cup’s First Shock.

This is not how it was supposed to be, but this is how it always seems to end. That slump of the shoulders, that distant stare, that mournful grimace.

Argentina came to this World Cup to enshrine Lionel Messi’s legacy in gold. It will remember it, for some time, for one of the greatest humiliations in its history.

A team that had traveled to Qatar on the back of 35 games without defeat, the glow of its first international honor in a generation fresh in the memory, with arguably the greatest player of all time in top form and surrounded by teammates of the highest caliber, opened its tournament with a 2-1 defeat to an opponent, Saudi Arabia, that was supposed to be little more than a sacrificial lamb.

Senegal vs Netherlands (0-2)
Senegal vs Netherlands (0-2)

What a performance from both team? but Netherlands have thrashed Senegal 0-2 to record their first Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup game win.

Goals from Cody Gapko six minutes from the end and substitute Davy Klaassen in injury time rescued a drab game and gave Van Gaal’s men all the points.

  • Van Gaal’s side eventually found the breakthrough late.

  • Netherlands’ late double downs Senegal.

  • Cody Gakpo pounces late for Netherlands breakthrough.

  • Davy Klaassen adds late second for Dutch.

  • Louis van Gaal’s team face Ecuador on Friday, while Senegal tackle Qatar.

Cody Gakpo struck with six minutes remaining and Davy Klaassen scored deep into stoppage time to earn the Netherlands a precious victory from their opening FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ meeting with Senegal.

The game at Al Thumama Stadium appeared destined for stalemate when Frenkie de Jong swung a left-wing delivery beyond the Senegal backline.

PSV Eindhoven forward Gakpo timed his run perfectly, escaping the offside trap and arriving a fraction ahead of goalkeeper Edouard Mendy to apply a faint headed touch to steer the ball into the net.

Gakpo’s strike was the Netherlands’ first attempt on target, the best they’d managed until this point a brisk first-half break that ended with De Jong taking too long over his touch in the penalty area.

Senegal aimed 15 attempts at goal, but directed only four on target. Andries Noppert, the goalkeeper making his international debut, saved at the foot of his near post from Boulaye Dia at 0-0.

And when the African team tried to muster a response to Gakpo’s goal, Noppert was equal to Pape Gueye’s low blast.

And the Netherlands wrapped up the three points when Klaassen converted on the rebound after Mendy parried Memphis Depay’s low shot on the counter.
